Farrowing crate installing methods
High-leg farrowing crate are common used in small-scale pig farms. They are simple in construction and do not have a dedicated manure ditch. Most of them have a drainage ditch dug at the end of the farrowing crate for removing feces and urine.

The farrowing crate is stand on a cement slatted floor, recently this occured in some fattening farms converted into sow farms.

The high-leg farrowing crate is generally installed at a height of about 20 cm, which is convenient for sows to enter and leave, and more convenience for clean up feces.
2.Installing above ditch: The manure ditch steps are 12 to 14 cm lower than the ground. The slatted floor is placed directly on the manure ditch, the crate level same with the ground. For this installing method, it is best to install the fiberglass beam and then slope the steps with cement for manure removal.

3.Above-ground installation: This installation method is gradually being adopted by most customers. The beams and feet are installed directly on the ground, the floor to ground is about 5 to 8 cm. Manure and dirt on the ground can be removed directly into the ditch, making cleaning easier. In addition, with this installation method, the ditch can be completed in one time, avoid overlapping of infrastructure construction and equipment installation
